An Elegant Long Island Wedding

Weddings By Event Kings Wedding

Seeing two people in love is the reason that we take such pride in our work to create the wedding of their dreams. When we met this couple for our initial meeting, we could easily see the deep love that they had for one another just by the way they looked at each other. They reside in Boston full time, but the bride grew up on the Island, and had always knew she would return to get married here.

Since they were only here a few time before the big day, we knew we had to maximize every meeting and walk through. They envisioned a simple yet romantic wedding that would bring their two culturally different families together become one.

The setting for their wedding day could not have been more perfect; a beautiful summer day. Their ceremony took place in an elegant gazebo on the grounds of their reception venue, accented with flowy white organza draping and enhanced with a luscious green leafy garland.

Cocktail hour was held both inside the venue and outside. Once they had their fill of delicious hors d’oeuvres, they made their way to reception, which was lit up with a tint of violet. The tables were adorned with a mix of high and low floral pieces that gave the room a pop of color. As everyone devoured their meals, there was a special performance from a traditional belly dancer that left the crowd in awe, and allowed the bride to show her Lebanese side.

The band had the dance floor packed all evening, and the photo booth kept the guests entertained. As as the night came to a close the new Bride and Groom headed off to their hotel.

A Classic Autumn Wedding

A Weddings By Event Kings Wedding

We admire when our clients know exactly what they want, and just need assistance with the execution of the day. That is what happened when one of our couples came to us with a fully planned out vision for a beautiful autumn wedding. They have been in the event industry for years and had every last detail and idea completed for their big day.

They held their ceremony in a beautiful outdoor garden at a historic Long Island mansion in the outside garden. All of the leaves had just changed color, and the weather was just warm enough for an outdoor ceremony. Rustic lanterns lined the aisle, and the open woods became their natural backdrop.

The reception took place in an elegant dark-wood room with massive ceilings. The over the top centerpieces filled the room with green foliage, as the hanging candles glowed. The live band got guests dancing all night.

The bride and groom enjoyed a tower of donuts instead of a cake, and created a full Hostess dessert bar for their friends and family to take on their way home.

Let Them Eat Cake, Or A Dessert Table

Wedding Trend Of The Year

Every bride spends countless hours searching Pinterest for the perfect element to make their wedding unique. Some look for the edgiest centerpiece, while other try and take fashion to a new level. The top trend, and tastiest trend, this year is the transition from wedding cakes to dessert tables.

Dessert tables have become one of our favorite items that we bring into weddings for a few different reasons. The first is brides and grooms are able to tie their theme into the table. Whether it is winter theme or it is a few select colors, couples are able to showcase it through their choice of dessert.

The second reason is the couple is able to pick out desserts that they actually like to eat. If they want to still incorporate a cake they can have cupcakes, cake pops, or even a small cake. They are also able to mix and match pastry desserts and candy to make the table full.

The last reason is a dessert table can double as your wedding favors. Instead of having to purchase a separate item for a favor, adding custom candy bags on your dessert table allows guests to take home some delicious treats.

Grab a bag, pick your favorite treat, and eat up!
