Let Them Eat Cake, Or A Dessert Table

Wedding Trend Of The Year

Every bride spends countless hours searching Pinterest for the perfect element to make their wedding unique. Some look for the edgiest centerpiece, while other try and take fashion to a new level. The top trend, and tastiest trend, this year is the transition from wedding cakes to dessert tables.

Dessert tables have become one of our favorite items that we bring into weddings for a few different reasons. The first is brides and grooms are able to tie their theme into the table. Whether it is winter theme or it is a few select colors, couples are able to showcase it through their choice of dessert.

The second reason is the couple is able to pick out desserts that they actually like to eat. If they want to still incorporate a cake they can have cupcakes, cake pops, or even a small cake. They are also able to mix and match pastry desserts and candy to make the table full.

The last reason is a dessert table can double as your wedding favors. Instead of having to purchase a separate item for a favor, adding custom candy bags on your dessert table allows guests to take home some delicious treats.

Grab a bag, pick your favorite treat, and eat up!

A Romantic Fall Wedding

A Weddings By Event Kings Wedding

One of our most recent weddings we did was one we will never forget. Our sweet bride and groom had a vision of simple and elegant d├ęcor for their wedding style. We worked together for about 6 months to make their ideas come alive.

The ceremony was held inside of a beautiful venue that overlooked a regal golf course. The aisle the bride walked down was lined with white rose petals and rustic lanterns. As the sun set in the background, the bride and groom exchanged their loving vows surrounded by close family and friends.

While guests mingled and sipped champagne in a gorgeous wooden cocktail hour room, our team worked quickly to flip the ceremony area into the reception space. The room was up-lit in a cool blue, and the oversized sunflowers on the tables warmed the atmosphere. Since the bride and groom were such fans of music, they hand-picked the playlists with our DJ and kept the crowd entertained all night.

A Tropical Destination Wedding

A Weddings By Event Kings Wedding

Happy Holidays Everyone! Since it is cold out and everyone is dreaming of warming days, here are some photos from our own Lisa’s tropical beach wedding.

The ceremony was held in a secluded area on a beautiful beach. Guests made their way down a wooden dock path to their seats and faced a rustic arch detailed in burlap. The waves crashed behind the bride and groom as they held back tears during their vows. A picture-perfect sunset turned into the backdrop as they kissed and became husband and wife.

Guests were escorted to a large ballroom filled with colors and music, and everyone danced and drank the night away.

A Camping Wedding

A Weddings By Event Kings Wedding

One of our favorite things when we meeting a new bride is hearing her vision they have in their head and then asking us “Is this possible?” That is what we encountered with one of our latest brides who dreamed of having a camping themed wedding. The bride and groom’s favorite past time consists of all types of outdoor activities, and it was important to them to express that through their wedding.

Both ceremony and reception were held at a beautiful East Hampton campground that the couple had camped out at in the past. The ceremony space was hidden in the depths of the woods in a clear open space overlooking Gardiners Bay.

Guests walked up a scenic path and were met with a rustic pavilion that held the reception. Long picnic tables with burlap runners, small tree stumps and bud vases added to the camping feel. Glowing bistro lighting were strung from the pavilion, creating the feeling that everyone was dancing under the stars. Guests were entertained with ping pong tables, corn hold and giant jenga as the night went on.

As the sun set, a custom made s’mores table was brought out as a to take a to-go treat as they all headed over to the bride and groom’s campsite to enjoy an end of the night bonfire.
