An Elegant Long Island Wedding

Weddings By Event Kings Wedding

Seeing two people in love is the reason that we take such pride in our work to create the wedding of their dreams. When we met this couple for our initial meeting, we could easily see the deep love that they had for one another just by the way they looked at each other. They reside in Boston full time, but the bride grew up on the Island, and had always knew she would return to get married here.

Since they were only here a few time before the big day, we knew we had to maximize every meeting and walk through. They envisioned a simple yet romantic wedding that would bring their two culturally different families together become one.

The setting for their wedding day could not have been more perfect; a beautiful summer day. Their ceremony took place in an elegant gazebo on the grounds of their reception venue, accented with flowy white organza draping and enhanced with a luscious green leafy garland.

Cocktail hour was held both inside the venue and outside. Once they had their fill of delicious hors d’oeuvres, they made their way to reception, which was lit up with a tint of violet. The tables were adorned with a mix of high and low floral pieces that gave the room a pop of color. As everyone devoured their meals, there was a special performance from a traditional belly dancer that left the crowd in awe, and allowed the bride to show her Lebanese side.

The band had the dance floor packed all evening, and the photo booth kept the guests entertained. As as the night came to a close the new Bride and Groom headed off to their hotel.

A Theme Can Make All The Difference

Wedding Trend Of The Year

Brides are always asking me for ways to make their wedding different and unique. Wether it’s an extra special element to the ceremony or a cultural performance, brides want something that sets their wedding apart from others.

I tell my couples-to-be that the best way to accomplish this is to come up with a totally unique theme. When deciding on a theme, the first thing couples need to think about it something that is special to them. It could be somewhere they visited together, a movie that they enjoy, or even an era that they are fascinated with.

You can show then display your theme through floral and décor, food, and even on the invitation! Check out the Wedding Paper Divas article to help find your perfect theme.

A Navy And Mint Soiree

Weddings By Event Kings Sweet 16

Being in the event world for as long as we have, we get to know our clients very well. It is especially exciting for us when we get to do multiple parties for different people within that family. We became especially close to one of these families when we did the first daughter’s sweet 16 in early 2017. When we got the call of the younger twin sisters, we knew we had to make it the best day and party of their lives.

We filled the ballroom with large clear balloons stuffed with navy and silver confetti. This was accented by mint, navy and silver colored balloons to give the room a fun atmosphere. Guests couldn’t get enough of the photo booth and were posing for fun pictures all night. They also got a special treat of seeing photos taken by our photographer up on the screens around the room.

The dance floor stayed busy all night long while kids and adults the same, had a blast doing line dances. As the night dwindled down, guests were able to fill up a deliciously sweet bag from the candy station as the left the party.
